Contemporary Dance Class

Contemporary dance which is often called lyrical dance also, is not so much a specific dance technique as it is a compilation of different techniques based from moderndance.

Contemporary dance involves integrating the mind body spirit connectionwith the dance movements. Often times a contemporary dancer will dancebarefoot. There's a huge emotional connection to this style of dance that theydo. 

There's also a lot of floor work involved. Unlike in traditional balletwhich includes much more stricter, more beautiful lines, the contemporary dancer will use gravity to pull them down closer to the level of the floor.
It is also important to note that a lot of improvisational skills are used in a Contemporary dance form. Improvisation meaning that the dancer uses whateverthey feel at that moment to express the mood of the dance piece itself.

There are several different forms of contemporary dance and a contemporary dance form here in the United States does differ from that of the European and Australian contemporary dance forms."

 Dance Modern Jazz Class

 Dance Modern Jazz is a stage dance form that originates from jazz music. Street Jazz, also called vernacular dance, an umbrella term, describes jazz styles that evolved outside of dance studios in everyday spaces such as streets, school yards and nightclubs.

They are often improvisational and social in nature, encouraging Interaction and contact with the spectators and the other dancers. This dance style is mixed with spectacular and emotional dance steps that enhance the feeling of simplicity and complication within an individual.

The Street Jazz dance is also commonly used specifically for many hip hop, jazz and funk dance styles that began emerging in the United States in the 1970s, and are still alive andevolving within the jazz culture today. It forms a thin line from old school Hip Hop styles such as break-dance, popping, locking to newer styles of hip hopculture.
